Good thoughts needed

Some of you know I own my own business, and I have recently been given a golden opportunity to put in a bid on what should be a really nice contract with a local municipality. Without going into too much detail, this would not only help me out tremendously (still waiting to hear if my wife will be hired back to work in Sept.), but would also allow me to possibly hire another 3-4 people at the same time. We have managed to stay afloat through this rough economy, but things would be a lot better for us if we got this contract.
So now I am just patiently (yeah, right!) waiting another week or so until the bids will be opened, and just figured I'd ask if my comrades at Polk can throw some good thoughts my way?
Thanks much, guys!!
Harry

So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

On the way Harry. Hope you get all you ask for and need.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Well, a sort of update; today they had their walkthrough of the buildings, and I now know that I have a few competitors to bid against.
That news is not all bad for a couple of reasons. First, as the Town "requires" a minimum of three bids for their consideration (that is unofficial, of course), once the bids are all opened and read next week, the final results should be made known almost immediately.
Second, I have established that the other bidders are not from anywhere around here, so I believe I have a big advantage there in that I can allow for "handling" these contracts myself, and not have to concern myself with an employee search for now. That should allow me to put in a more competitive bid.
Still have my fingers crossed, though, as anything can happen with sealed bids...So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
