$2500 Budget.
Keep hearing crazy good things about Tekton. Used Lore's in NJ.

Best speaker I ever heard in my life was a Taylor Accousics Linbrook system. I think in part it was just..SO BIG and Effortless. I love my Outlaw LCRs... but no comparison.

So, is the Lore a good thing to checkout? What is your super speaker for under $3k?

I don't believe those will compare to Linbrooks...at all.

Well. Maybe not. I owned some Totem Hawks once and do not want to have speakers like that again. Excellent at Jazz / folk but that is it. Interested in full range speakers that have enough driver surface area to do the job.

    Maybe..

Right now I have Outlaw LCR and Polk Lsis for surround.

    Have had totem hawks.

    The LCRs are *awesome
    * for what they are.... But not like those linbrook's fullness.

I have a pair of lore's ATM. I really like them. Very dynamic and punchy. Vocals are very lifelike. Bass is tight and accurate. They seem to get the tone of the instruments just right. I have driven them with a vintage 60 wpc Luman SS and a 6 wpc SE valve amp.

A great all round sounding speaker. They have pushed my reworked RTA11 TL into a second system.

They are a very different speaker though. The sound stage is more upfront compared to the Polks. Not in your face but you will feel like you have moved a fair few rows closer to the stage. The music has a more "live" presence to it.

For the money you can't go wrong.
