For sale is my Yamaha A 1000 120 w/ch Class A/AB integrated amp. The A 1000 was made from 1985-87. it sold for $1000 and features Class A operation up to 10 watts per channel. The unit then moves to Class AB like a normal amp where it is rated at 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 into 4 ohms. . The sound is very clean and powerful with excellent detail. Unit features (many which are hidden behind a hinged door)
Switchable Class A/AB
Direct (bypasses the tone controls and filters)
Bass and Treble with turnnovers
High and subsonic filters
Variable loudness
Balance
Inputs for 2 tape decks. CD, aux, tuner and 2 phonos
headphone jack
Extensive phono cap and imp options Excellent phono section
This A 1000 has been serviced and checked out. Two resistors were repaired. Output was checked with one channel driven 153 into 8 ohms and 223 into 4 ohms. The amp works perfectly ,is dead quiet and all controls and functions work as they should. it is also in excellent shape with one small scratch on the top surface of the faceplate (not on the front) and some light marks on the top cover.
The A speaker terminals have been upgraded with heavier ones that take spades, wire or bananas. The Bs are stock. The unit is also now set up with an IEC socket so you can use a detachable power cord of your choice. Owners manual and powercord are included. One of the pictures is a stock picture as it had better lighting The rest are of the actual unit. No worries here asking $295 thanks,keith

I have two Yamaha amps and they sound better than many other brands I have tried or owned.
