Isles of Wonder is an incredible compilation 2CD set which will be out next week. A 256 kbps version is available on iTunes right now. If you watched the opening ceremony during the industrial revolution segment and the forging of the Olympic rings you would have heard a stupendous percussion piece, with drummers located throughout the stadium. This is titled And I Will Kiss performed by Underworld, featuring. Dame Evelyn Glennie, and the Pandemonium 1000 drummers. If you watched in on the NBC feed your missed a lot, the BBC 1080p broadcast is fantastic. There is a BBC 3D version available as well. I loaded "Isles" it into my iPod Touch this morning(7/31) and listened to it at work. When I got home and played it on iTunes it didn't sound all that good, no surprise there iTunes sucks, So I played in using SMPlayer2 I didn't resurface for over 3 hours, Oh my God what a sound! I will order the CD's from Amazon so I can have a nice Flac version loaded.
SMPlayer2 is the best do it all player I have ever used, I have at least 10 players loaded SMP blows all of them away. VLC was my default video player, it has been a clunky mess with the last few updates. SMP2 renders video so much better I deleted VLC from my system. Foobar2000 is a good music player but SMP2 blows it away. ( https://github.com/lachs0r/SMPlayer2)
