How to determine RT20p bass problem?
Bought a pair of RT20P speakers and a CS350LS center channel in amazing cosmetic condition with original boxes for
$300 this weekend. Just not getting correct sound from woofers. Tried running preamp front channel and LFE output
channels from receiver but getting weak bass with rattles. How do I go about tracking down problem?
The center channel was a nice upgrade and fits discreetly in my home theater. The RT20p speakers look great and
the upper speakers sound great so I do not feel too bad about purchase. Am I SOL or is there hope?
How do you run speaker cables to low speaker connections? Does that bypass built in amps? Sorry so many questions.
Just want to make sure I am not missing something. Thanks for any input. Chuck

Hello 928,
The easiest way to check the bass performance of the RT20p is to simply remove any line level inputs coming into the bass amplifier and restore the binding post jumper plates linking the upper and lower sets of binding posts. This will provide a speaker level signal to the internal bass amplifiers.
