Rear surround selection...Please help!
I have
RTi150s Fronts on floor.
CSi40 Center on top of RPTV.
FXi50 Surrounds on side walls.
SVS PB1-ISD sub.
Driven by Adcom GFA 5500 for Mains and GFA 7500 for the other five.
I have no space behind my couch to place the RTi38, so I would like to install some in-wall speakers. Whick ones would be the best timber match for my set of speakers: RC65i or RC85i.
RC65i have the 6.5" mid but a 3/4" tweeter while the RC85i have the 8.0" mid and 1" tweeter.
Thank you.

I take it by rear surround, and by already having the FXi50's, you mean rear center or centers. If this is the case, then I would suggest getting a one or two CSi30's and placing them on shelves (sp) above and behind your sitting position. That is what I plan to do soon, as I am in the same position of not having enough room. If done right, this could turn out looking very nice.

Thanks Terrax for your suggestion, unfortunately my wife already reserve the shelf (more like a console) behind the couch for her candles and vases. I thought by using inwalls behind and above those girly stuff I get the benefit of an extra 24" between my ears and the drivers, not to mention the wife's approval for additional speakers since I'll be painting them to blend in the back wall. As you can see from my list I already have alot of black boxes around the room.

Aye, understood completely. Hm.... You say a console behind the couch? So this would happen to be fairly low? In regard to my suggestion, you could install some nice rought iron shelves (or whatever material blends with your decor) up higher on the rear wall, place CSi30's on the shelf, then place a small decantor with small nice real looking fake plants on top of the speaker itself, and it would help blend into your living space and help satisfy (sp) your wifes tastes as well. Just a thought.

I've got to think about your suggestion seriously.
Thank you,
