I just thought somebody over here wanted to see it, I don't think small mods like this one probably aren't really considered mods or something? I don't know

I did the same thing to my Denon 2800, I'm using it for Cd's in my theater now since the 3910 stopped reading cd's:frown: but it still reads DVD's so it's all good. The work on the 2800 doesn't look any different, I just used different bigger bulkier jacks about 3 inches or so apart from each other.

I had a CDB-650 as my first player. Sold it to my college roomate after we graduated. As far as I know he still has it. I sometimes think about seeing if he'd sell it back if for no other reason than nostalgia purposes. I wonder how it would stack up against today's gear?

    I run a CDB-650 presently. I bought it new, I think in 1985.

The thing's a tank and just won't quit. I put the digital signal through an outboard non oversampling dac. Sounds incredible, though occasionally I wonder what a more modern transport would sound like. So far not enough to spend the $

I think it sounds perfectly fine. as you can see in the pictures I wired the jacks right on the board, so instead of the usually what looks like aluminum to solder to it's copper. But I thought it sounded great. Probably won't replace it any time soon. Only problem I have with it is that the tray doesn't always come open, I have to pull it out.
