    have they been re-mastered? some of frank's remasters..let's just say, he probably would have addressed them by now;)

    Agreed. I find "Hot Rats" for example painful to listen to. The article does state this about remastering:

    "The Universal deal encompasses the entire Zappa catalogue, as it appeared on Frank Zappa’s own independent label, Barking Pumpkin Records, and many of the original analogue masters have been re-mastered."
