Photos: Japanese Tsunami Dock on Oregon Beach

While the wife and I were on the coast in Newport, Oregon the past few days, we walked down the beach to check out the cement dock that detached during the tsunami and floated across the Pacific. It's a pretty impressive site. It stands about 5feet above the sand now and is 60ft long. Glad we got to see it as it is being demolished and hauled off starting Monday.

    Reminds me of a fun game of "does it float" that we played in middle school science class, just at slightly larger and more alarming scale.
