Hi Folks!
Would appreciate any input about matching a pair of surrounds to my RT16's. I would assume that even though my speakers are about 8 yo that timbre matching would not be a problem?? Thanks to any suggestions.

I'm using an pair of RT35s for my rear surrounds and a CS275 for the center. The CS275 has the tri-laminate tweeter to timbre match the RT16s.

I am new to this Polk site but I can give you a little suggestions
Your RT16 will be a good match if you can find one RT7 for rears
they have both the same tweeters and I think the same drivers for center channel CS 245 or 245i, 275 will be good also.

Any tri-lam will match well, I'll second the vote for a pair of RT7's.

Thanks everyone for your input. I already have a center(CS350). I should have been more clear. I just never got around to getting surrounds at the time I bought these. I now have a nice new big screen and the 16's with the center still sound good to me so thought it about time to complete the set-up.

See if I can find some 7's. Are there perhaps any of the newer models that might match up well?

I have a pair of f/x1000's that I use for surrounds and I think they sound perfect together. The 7's are the way to go if you prefer a direct type surround vs. the bi/dipole of the 1000's. You're gonna spend a bit more though on the 1000's as well.

    Good luck.

(I also use RT16's up front, and I have another 2 pair that I bought up cuz I like them so much)
    comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

I use the FX500 with the RT16's.. There pretty big too (well, atleast for surround speakers), and are a good alternative to the fx1000's which are expensive..

Hey would a CS200 be a good center channel for a pair of RT16's ? I read the CS245 and CS275 a few posts up but can't seem to find any. Thanks, Matt
