I want to get some onwall speakers (No larger than the 7200's), what speakers do you guys recommend? I'm willing to spend $1,000 on the speakers alone with no subwoofer.

This is for a HT, I have inwall speakers for other rooms in the house, I need something that sounds supurb.

I thought you were going to buy the RM7600?

There are some very superb sounding inwalls out there. Polk has the new LCi inwalls coming out, infinity makes the CAS series, etc. etc.
spending 1 large on speakers that you want as small as possible is a bad idea IMO -

Too big -
I would assume that most speaker systems that are as small as you would like would sound pretty much the same.
want to spend alot? get Bose. otherwise, any other Home-Theater-In-A-Box will probably be just as good and cost alot less.
I don't think there are many, if any at all, posters on here that have "small" speakers so finding recommendations might be difficult on this board. -
I'd look into the Gallo brand. Very small and suprisingly good sound.Make it Funky!

There are lots of small speakers that sound good for ht, my personal fav is from Jm Lab:

An inexpensive option you might want to look at are the HTD 'middies':

I don't know that you can get *much* smaller than the Polk offerings, as another user pointed out, without just paying too much for too little.
Check out Tannoy, KEF, Energy, and I think Def Tech has a *decent* 'little' speaker also.

I would highly recommend you check out Polk's 6700 HT package. It can be found at Circuit City for $600.
The 4 sats are 6.5"H x 4"W x 5"D and weigh 2 lbs. The center is 4 5/16"H x 11 1/4"W x 5 13/16"D and weighs 5.25 lbs. All of the speakers (even the center) can easily be mounted on the wall. The sats are two-way speakers with 3 1/4" mids and 3/4" tweeters. The Center has an extra mid.
All 5 speakers are ported (most palm sized speakers aren't) for exceptional (for their size) midrange. Granted you aren't going to get the same performance from them as you would from large floorstanding or bookshelf sized speakers.
Still, matched with a good sub and driven by a quality source these little speakers can sound excellent.
I auditioned Bose, Infinity and Klipsch HT packages and none of them came anywhere near the 6700's in sound quality (to my ears, anyway). Plus the Infinity and Klipsch were larger (and uglier IMO).
Personally I think you will be hard pressed to find a better speaker on the market (in your price range) that has such an outstanding size/sound ratio as the 6700's.Denon AVR-1803

I would agree with gidrah, the Anthony Gallo's Mirco's are amazing little speakers that sound great, they are spheres, and come in a ton of colors, all metal construction. Do a search for "Anthony Gallo".
