I'll be in the DC area the week of August 6. Available to meet for lunch or dinner on the 7th. The 8th and 9th may be a bit tricky due to work schedule.

    Yeah, anyone wanting to get together for a killer dinner @ Fago de Chao in downtown DC....let me know. It's not cheap but is the best Brazillian steak house I've ever been to. I'll make reservations when we get a solid head count but ned to know ASAP. It's 4 so far....gotta make reservations by Thursday at the latest, no changes can happen since they lock that in.

    If they are booked, I'll do Oyamel which is anotehr awesome joint right around the corner and easy for Doug to Metro.

    OK....it's AT DelFrisco's, DC @ 7pm for 8. Sorry you can't come Jesse but we'll lament your absence via food and beverages. Fago was booked....Oyamel was not taking parties that large(weird)...and Old Ebbits is where I'm going next week so that was overkill.

    Just got back from dinner, never saw or heard from Dpowell, then realized I had the week all wrong, LOL damn I'm dumb....shame, we had the private room at the place, glass doors and surrounded by the entire wine collection, had 2 waiters staffed, ate like you wouldn't believe, drank quite a bit as well and had room for dessert it was that good. Room was under Polk Audio and we even asked total strangers, actually my wife did and our friend Patrick, REALLY random dudes if they were YOU since I wasn't sure what you looked like. OMG, it was funny and really weird to them I'm sure. Not sure what happened with my dates in August reality. Maybe next time, PROST!

    If you're in DC and can't get reservations at Fago, check out Del Frisco's....WOW.

    PS - We'll see you when you get up here next week man, no worries. It was an excuse to get Polk down in my neck of the woods for a change. You could join my wife and a bunch of other friends of ours at Old Ebbitts?....just drop me a line.

    so that's why I was sitting in the Polk Audio private dining room in San Diego all by myself last night! I kept asking strangers if they were Matt Polk but they all looked at me really weird.:lol:

    Dude the story is totally true. We even had the waiters get on the intercom and ask for you....I'm so ashamed I didn't look at the calendar correctly. I'm sure Polk will rag on me for this since we talked about it at dinner to boot. I was like damnit man....call me, and they were trying to find alternate ways to find you and it was just a hot mess. Now it's just funny but either way it was a good evening.

    Yeah, let's work on that Tuesday and we'll chat offline.
