Hi all! I can't believe my profile here is still active! I had to quit stalking the forum a couple years ago since it only made me feel inadequate...in so many ways.
So why the hell am I back just to try and peddle my used junk? I relocated from Phoenix to San Francisco earlier this year & rather than actually move my stuff like normal people do, I put everything into storage (audio stuff is in a temperature-controlled unit) in Phoenix, rented out my house, and threw a few clothes into my car. Needless to say, the lifestyle has gotten a little old and I am going to have my belongings moved to the Bay Area the week of August 12th.
Since I'm downsizing from a 2200 sq foot house to a tiny apartment in the city, it probably makes sense to simplify things a little. I pre-ordered the Peachtree Audio nova125 as my first attempt at this strategy.
A little about me and the items I have here for sale: I do not have pictures and will not be able to take any since everything is in storage in AZ. I will describe as best as I can remember and everything is priced accordingly. I've been known to be somewhat meticulous about things. I traveled continuously for work when I lived in AZ, you could probably consider this equipment "light use". I've included links to the items I originally purchased here, so you will have some "actual pictures".
Since I don't have much trust in moving companies and don't really have all that much stuff, I'm going to be driving a moving truck from Phoenix to SF on Tuesday August 14th. Here are the general guidelines:
-If you are in AZ and interested in anything for local pickup, I will be at my Chandler storage unit on Sunday Aug 12th and Monday Aug 13th.
-If you live between Phoenix and SF, I will be leaving Phoenix very early the morning of Tuesday Aug 14th and plan to drive it all in one day. I'm happy to stop and meet you along I-10, I-5, or I-205, but it might be a little bit of a challenge to coordinate since it?s a workday for most of you.
-If you live in the Bay Area or Northern Cal, I will probably use a storage facility in the Foster City area close to my office and could meet with you on the weekend (8/18-19) or schedule something after. I'll also have an apartment in the city (Alamo Square/NOPA) and could grab whatever you are interested in.
-Priority will be given to anyone that I can avoid shipping to. Otherwise, please note that shipping will occur on Monday August 13th!
-My apologies on any delayed responses over the next week. I'm wrapping up some meetings and trying to get out for a long weekend with the family in Minneapolis.
Polk LSi9 Pair Ebony - This pair of speakers has sentimental value since they were the 1st Polk item I picked up and more importantly, because I got them from Cliff (TheGrayGhost) when he was still around. There might be a couple scratches on the bottom from where they sat on the speaker stand. There might be a small ding or 2 in the wood panels. There might even be a few scratches on the top from dusting them in a counter-clockwise motion. They have always been given good power, never abused, never dropped?in great condition. Decided to keep and use with the Peachtree. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?22969-FS-Polk-LSi9-and-LSiC
Polk LSi9 Pair - Cherry Panels Removed - I used these as my center. I pulled off the panels so that they would fit in the top drawer of my BDI cabinet. The sides (black glossy) have scratches on them. The cherry panels (from my recollection, they are in great shape) will be included ...feel free to reattach them if you'd like. At first I used both speakers as a center, but realized that it sounded better with only 1 connected. I think I read something regarding "cancelling" on here...you probably know why it was a dumb idea to use both, but it was a learning experience for me. I thought I bought these here on the forum, but can't find the link. Same treatment as the other pair. $375 shipped in the original box ($325 pick-up).
Sherwood Newcastle P965 - If you can get by without HDMI, this is a great Pre. The Pre I just ordered to replace this does not have HDMI...I'm just going with an integrated to save some space and interconnect mess. This did have the SNAP upgrade and is in great condition. I purchased it new. You can find the specs if you click under "Products > Heritage" at the Newcastle site. This Pre always received great reviews and has served me well?not to mention the phenomenal support from the folks at Newcastle. $325 shipped in the original box ($300 pick-up) http://www.sherwoodusa.com/
B&K Reference 200.5 - Everything you've read about this is true...probably the item I am most going to regret parting with. My HT was 5.1 and using this to replace my original Newcastle A965 Amp was a huge improvement...although the A965 wasn't exactly garbage. $900 shipped ($850 pick-up) I don't think I have the original box, but will make sure it is appropriately packed. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?70359-B-amp-K-Ref-200.5-amp-5-channel-200w-8ohm
B&K ST2140 - Great little amp that I used to run Room 2 (Pool Speakers). When I bought this, it had a red power indicator light. After I got the 200.5, I decided that it needed to be modified with a blue power indicator light to match. It was maybe a little overkill for my needs? $250 shipped in the original box. ($225 pick-up) http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?46013-B-amp-k-St2140
BDI Avion 8927 in Espresso Stained Oak - I notice on the website that they now have a "Avion Series II", but from the "enhancements list" it looks the same as what I have, so this may very well be a Series II. I purchased this new at list price and couldn't be happier. There may be a scuff or two on it, but nothing that I can recall. It is currently bubble/plastic-wrapped in storage. The only reason I am considering getting rid of it is that it is overkill for the direction I am going with audio equipment and probably oversized for my apartment...if I do sell it I will replace it with the smaller BDI (and probably pay more to do it!). I?m offering it up with the following stipulations: (1) obviously, no shipping. However, if we are able to coordinate a pick-up in Phoenix or drop-off along my way to the Bay Area, I will part with it. (2) If I get it to SF it will no longer be for sale...I will most likely keep it since I think I can make it work in my new place. $1,000 http://www.amazon.com/Avion-8927-Triple-Enclosed-Cabinet/dp/B002M8JNX8
Nintendo Wii Complete Kit - White Wii Console with 2 controllers/nunchucks, Energizer Induction Charge Pad, Wireless Sensor Bar, Extra Adaptor and Connection Cables (easy move between 2 TV's), and several games (Super Mario Bros, Sports Resort, Madden Football '10). I do not have the original box. There may be more misc. items and I will include whatever I find. This has been very lightly used and in great condition. $100 shipped
Tivo Premiere - Contract fulfilled. I'll include this to anyone who buys my stuff and can find a use for it.

Damn I want that ST2140!
Good luck with your move and sale. -
I am interested in the Wii. So, does that mean 2 controllers and 2 nunchuks? Are the games you listed all or just some? Thanks a lot."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason."

If you decide to sell your ebony pair of lsi9s let me know. Thanks

Yes...2 controllers and 2 nunchucks. Those are the only games I recall having...if I come across any others they will definitely be included.

Will do...I originally was going to list them until I saw that the Peachtree claims to handle the low ohm load. If the combo doesn't work very well, you have 1st dibs.If you decide to sell your ebony pair of lsi9s let me know. Thanks

And the reason you felt "inadequate" was because you were running such a "nice" system, right!!
Good luck to you. But with such gear there is NO reason not to hang out at the forums more!

Let's see if some pictures and an update will get anything going here. All items are in a storage unit in San Mateo and most are listed on the local Craigslist as well (albeit for slightly higher prices).
Decided to keep and use with the Peachtree. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...-LSi9-and-LSiC
UPDATE These are back on the block. $450 Shipped or $400 Local pick-up. Whichever pair of LSi9's goes locally first will have the option for free Sanus stands.
I thought I bought these here on the forum, but can't find the link. Same treatment as the other pair. $375 shipped in the original box ($325 pick-up).
UPDATE I noticed that there is a little pull at the bottom of the cloth on each grill cover. I'm not adjusting the already ridiculous price because of this, just utilizing full disclosure
Sherwood Newcastle P965 - If you can get by without HDMI, this is a great Pre. The Pre I just ordered to replace this does not have HDMI...I'm just going with an integrated to save some space and interconnect mess. This did have the SNAP upgrade and is in great condition. This Pre always received great reviews and has served me well?not to mention the phenomenal support from the folks at Newcastle. $325 shipped in the original box ($300 pick-up) http://www.sherwoodusa.com/
UPDATE I guess this is technically still for sale, but I will be using it until late October and won't ship it until then. If you are really interested, you might be able to talk me into an even better deal if you're willing to wait.
B&K Reference 200.5 - Everything you've read about this is true...probably the item I am most going to regret parting with. My HT was 5.1 and using this to replace my original Newcastle A965 Amp was a huge improvement...although the A965 wasn't exactly garbage. $900 shipped ($850 pick-up) I don't think I have the original box, but will make sure it is appropriately packed. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...nnel-200w-8ohm
UPDATE This is also still technically for sale, but wouldn't ship until late October since I will be using it until then.
($225 pick-up) http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/show...B-amp-k-St2140
UPDATE $240 shipped / $200 local pick-up. Yes, I realize that the decrease in price is not proportionate.
UPDATE No longer for sale
Update This is gone.

Additional items for sale:
Logitech Squeezebox Radio Great little radio that sounds pretty decent for its size. I no longer have a use for it. It has a couple minor scrapes/scratches, but nothing to get bent out of shape over. $75 shipped
HSU ULS-15 Rosewood Wireless Sub with Auralex Subdude Platform
This was in perfect condition prior to a recent move. Unfortunately, I wasnt smart enough to put the nice soft foam paper around the sub (it was stuffed down the side of the box) and set the cardboard accessory box on top of it. You can see the light scuffs on the topmaybe you can buff them out, but Id rather that you consider this purchase knowing the condition it is currently in rather than what it could be. The lighting in the picture show them as bad as possibleyou will not be surprised to receive something in worse condition than the picture. So how will I prevent this from becoming worse if I ship again? Well, the foam paper is now around the sub and the cardboard accessory box is garbage. The accessories are now in a ziplock on the back end of the sub (by the plate amp) and the Auralex Subdude is on top of the sub for a nice shipping experience.
Otherwise, this is an awesome sub. It ships with everything included as new (floor spikes, wireless transmitter, power cable). I will also include a couple extras: Audioquest Y Cable, Interconnect, and Auralex Subdude to set it on.
This sub has been lightly used and is in perfect functional condition. $700 local or + actual shipping.

I have only used it for access to internet radio stations and Pandora. Looks like the ST2140 will be off the block next week...otherwise, items still available are listed in this post...pics are in previous posts. I intend to be back home next week and will list the remaining items locally:

UPDATE: It looks like the Peachtree I ordered to replace this should finally ship...although I admit that I've had 2nd thoughts on just cancelling the Peachtree order.

I'm not a big fan of bumps, but thought I'd put a couple quick updates on the items I have left:
Sherwood Newcastle P965 - If you can get by without HDMI, this is a great Pre. The Pre I just ordered to replace this does not have HDMI...I'm just going with an integrated to save some space and interconnect mess. This did have the SNAP upgrade and is in great condition. I purchased it new. You can find the specs if you click under "Products > Heritage" at the Newcastle site. UPDATE: I forgot that there was an HDMI switch available for this Pre...it only allows for 2-HDMI inputs, but that would be enough for me and may be enough for some of you. If you buy this from me, I will buy the Newcastle HSB-600 on ebay and have it shipped to you...
UPDATE: How about a price drop - $750 local / plus actual shipping?
Nintendo Wii Complete Kit - White Wii Console with 2 controllers/nunchucks, Energizer Induction Charge Pad, Wireless Sensor Bar, Extra Adaptor and Connection Cables (easy move between 2 TV's), and several games (Super Mario Bros, Sports Resort, Madden Football '10). I do not have the original box. There may be more misc. items and I will include whatever I find. This has been very lightly used and in great condition. $100 shipped
HSU ULS-15 Rosewood Wireless Sub with Auralex Subdude Platform
This was in perfect condition prior to a recent move. Unfortunately, I wasn't smart enough to put the nice soft foam paper around the sub (it was stuffed down the side of the box) and set the cardboard accessory box on top of it. You can see the light scuffs on the top...maybe you can buff them out, but Id rather that you consider this purchase knowing the condition it is currently in rather than what it could be. The lighting in the picture show them as bad as possible...you will not be surprised to receive something in worse condition than the picture.
$700 local or + actual shipping.[/QUOTE] -
I've received a few PM's recently regarding the open items...just wanted to post a quick note to confirm that all items in this thread are sold. Please close and/or mark this thread "sold". Thanks!
