Surely someone has but all this press on the Colorado madness has put a damper on talking about it. Even C. Bale and his wife visited Aurora. (Which is understandable).

In any case, I plan to see it when my daughter gets back from visiting her older brother in Boston. Should be this weekend. I have a really nice Batman cap (from the last film) I often wear when I'm out. Decided to leave it off for a while! And will definitely NOT be wearing it to the film!

I saw it opening day. Excellent movie for sure. The ending, to me, was darn near perfect. I have a few things to pick about, but will have to leave them to a dedicated spoiler thread.
    No excuses!

Very good movie. Very LONG movie, but didn't really seem like it. Think I liked the first Dark Knight a little better though.

I saw it Monday in IMAX. I really, really liked it and felt it closed the trilogy nicely. The scenes that were actually filmed in IMAX were amazing. I do have a few nits to pick with it. The opening plane hijacking sequence didn't blow me away, like the bank robbery sequence that opened the Dark Knight did. I see a lot of people talking about it in reviews, but my reaction to it was a little "meh". From a sound standpoint it seemed like the effects were a little too loud in the mix and drowned out dialog in some places. I'm not talking only about Bane's speaking parts, although a little more volume in the vocals may have helped me understand those too. This might be specific to the theater I saw it in, or IMAX presentation. I could also be my ears, but I would have liked a little more clarity in the dialog.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. It seemed inevitable that it would be a letdown after the last one, which I loved, but it compared very well to it, imo. Bane, who I wasn't a fan of in the comics, was a better villain than I thought he would be, and I thought they handled the "return" of Batman very well. And, like someone said, the ending was just about perfect.

We saw it on Tuesday. Personally I loved the movie. The story line is very good, the actors are great, the ending is fabulous. Picture quality and sound (oh those explosions) are definitely HT demo material. Highly recommend the whole 3-movie series, unlike many other series, which are currently being milked by studios (i.e. Spiderman etc).

Looking forward to it. But I must tell you that I found Dark Knight, plodding and "tedious" and way too long. A self-indulgent excursion that could have been a half hour shorter and a much better film for it. I know everyone lauds Ledger's performance as the Joker, and I think this is what overvalued the film. There were too many subplots floating around that proved to be distracting and ponderous. It took me two or three times to actually view the entire film because I kept getting distracted by my own thoughts (not a good sign for a film). The focus on all the "darkness" became a bit too self-conscious and forced (overdone).

I did finally manage to sit down for an entire viewing, months ago, and kept thinking (I'd cut that, and that, and that).

Still looking forward to the new film. But a little nervous to hear it's a "long' one. lol

+1 I totally agree with your assesment of the dark knight. I think people rate it so well because of how well heath played the joker. I thought the new one had a better story/plot to it and it all fit together well. Everything had a purpose. I felt like the joker just ran around being an idioit. Nothing was calculated. Just my opionion but I think TDKR is the best of the 3. We didnt even realize it 2 hrs and 40 mins until my wife said its 7pm. The movie started at 4:15. We were that deep into the movie.

I found it to be mediocre at best. Sue me I guess. What was with the wannabe Sean Connery voice from the villain? Couldn't take any of the movie seriously after I heard him speaking. Except maybe for the cat burglar lady, she was mildly entertaining. But the rest of it just never took off for us (wife and kids included). After the first hour, we were shifting in our seats hoping it wasn't long before the end credits rolled.

    It was.

Oh well. Not for everyone, and while it wasn't the worst we've seen by a long shot, we won't be buying this one on Bluray.

Wasn't bad. A few surprises but pretty predictable. They gave away the ending to early i thought.

It's a long movie for sure, but there are way more references to the first movie than to the 2nd in this one. I'd suggest to watch Batman Begins a couple of days in advance before going to see this one.

Saw this on IMAX opening night and loved it. I can go on and on about it but all that I really remember is the jack **** sitting next to me not sitting still and continuously checking his watch! So distracting! This is why I don't goto the theaters too often! Thank goodness for HT, Bluray and of course POLK

I like this character because of its crusader fighter image. I have watched the series-'Dark Night Rises'. I loved the trinity of character presented in it. At the same time portraying the character fashionable, having ambition and spectacular also...
It is really awesome combination and genius of portrayal.
