New Monitor 70 Series

I purchased 2 Monitor 70 series in March of this year. I also have 2 Sony bookshelf speakers. I turned on my
receiver and cd/dvd player to play a cd and the only sound I got from the Polks were from the tweeters. The
Sony's were fine. I turned on the radio and got the same result. Up until now the Monitor 70's have been great.
Any suggestions on how to fix.

    Welcome to Club Polk!

Sounds like your "jumpers" might not be tightened down enough? On the back of your M-70s there are metal pieces that connect the high and low frequency terminals. Make sure you're wired properly to the top or the bottom L/R terminals (you only need one set) and that ALL the other Red/Black plastic fasteners are TIGHT so that all FOUR terminals are making contact with the metal JUMPERS. If anything is not making contact you can easily be missing the BASS or the TWEETERS.

See if that works. Because if you do "blow" your speakers. It is usually the Tweeters that go first, not the bottom end?
