Carver tfm-15cb any good

Hello,
I have A 13" MacBook Pro mid 2010 im looking to get rid of. Long story short I bought it two years ago, then this spring I decided to sell my Mac desktop and buy a better 15" laptop, and still havent got around to selling the laptop. Well I'm talking to this guy here locally about trading him the MacBook for a mint carver tfm-15cb, among some other audio equipment and another pc for my wife. I honestly had just assumed this was a good power amp by looking at it cosmetically, but it appears that people have mixed feelings about it online. Anyone have any first hand experience with it? Im guessing it's probably worth about $200 but that may even be a little high. Thanks

New to the forums, and home theatre.
This will become my secondary system in the fall or spring, but it consists of:
Front: Polk Monitor 40's on 36" Bell-O stands
Front B: Klipsch F-10
Center: Polk CS-2
Rear: Polk Monitor 40's
Subwoofer: Klipsch Sub-12
Receiver: Yamaha HTR-6130
Cd Player: Kenwood Dv-605 dvd player to play data disks.
Macbook pro/External Blu Ray as a HTPC for media.
