This has been a fun little project for me and I really enjoyed it.

I must also comment that Chet from Definitive is what has made that company successful. Over the last few years I have spoke to him on many occasions and he has always been very helpful.

Anyways -

This basically was a kit Def Tech was selling to get rid of spare parts...

The crossovers were immediately thrown away and hotrodded hand wired versions were created! (Of course)

These are an extremely fun speaker I heard many moons ago when I was first getting into the hobby and it has been cool to tinker with them for a while!

So, it's an active monitor with built in sub? Cool. You using it for PC speakers? What are those top plates made from? I've got BP8's that I will never part with. Bought them in 1994 or 1995, so poor we were sleeping on a sleeper sofa, eating on a large wooden spool table. I had dropped my wife off at RDU to go to England for a funeral, stopped off at the stereo shop on Capitol Blvd and was smitten. I worked 12 16hr shifts in a row to be sure I had some income coming in by the time SWMBO came back. Worth it!

I was using them as mains, I have a friend local thats going to give them a good home!

The top caps Definitive uses are MDF painted (earlier models) and the later models were MDF vinyl wrapped and the newest models are now 100% plastic...

I have owned BP6B and BP10B speakers and they have all been solid performers!

    Enjoy those bad boys!
