PSW110 turn-on thump
Instead of leaving the sub in standby mode, I usually turn off the power strip it's plugged into. So, whenever I turn it back on, there's a major turn-on thump whether or not the receiver is already on or off.
Other than that, it works and sounds just fine. Would the turn-on thump be a good reason to let it remain in standby mode eternally? Or should I not even worry about it?
Thanks.

Since you have plugged into a power strip, I would leave it in standby mode. Does it thump when it comes on in standby mode?

It does not thump when it comes on in standby mode. It's only when the power strip is flipped on. With the receiver, tv, and blu ray player already drawing standby power, I kind of wanted to avoid yet another 24/7 draw. If the turn on thump is not bad for the sub or the sub amp, then I'll probably keep switching off the power strip after each use.Denon X7200WA
