hk- PA-5800 highcurrent ( +-73 amps peak) 80 w@8 ohmsx5 & 110w@4ohms. Have owned for many years and use every day in HT system.no issues at all. Clean and conservitively rated.6-12 volt remote trigger. Weighs about 30lbs. Very nice.250.00+ actuall ship. Have original manual 2 nd owner. Was gone thru by my tech. A couple of trs. Ago and set and adj. And balanced all pots. No falts found.

    can't comment on the price. but I have this thing before moving to Citation amps. this thing has a massive powersupply, very simple design, each channel has it's own 2 caps. Very nice HK sound, match well with Polk speakers. Because of it that makes me stick with HK amps. not using it, but can't find a reason to sell it :)

    As noted above this is quite a nice amp with loads of clean headroom, power is very conservatively rated ( when originaly benched was reaching way beyound it factory specs) it is a beast of an amp. Soild and reliable. It been running my ht and tv for years without a hickup.if u have a avr with pre in/outs this would be a major upgrade to any avr amps. As far as price goes i know of no 5 ch amp with its capabilities even close to the asking price.the detail and warmth this unit offers lends itself to a great biamp amp for 2,3 ch.srereo
    with the right pre its a killer affordable highcurrent amp.selling only to raise funds for an upgrade that will cost me over 4 times the price.the surround (artifact sounds are so "real" sounding u will be looking around the house for where the sounds are comming from.( it still surprises me every time i play a movie.) i only hope its replacement will sound as good!

    ohh yeah, only 1 missing feature from this amp is Bridge mode. but it can power any polk speakers out there easy

    Your avr guys are missing the boat here! Ive used this amp when i first got it on several 2-3k avr's by denon and B&k and it blew them away.brought them to a new level! On the cheep. Digital amps cant touch vintage high current period. You will here stuff in your movies yoy never heard befor and if you also use your avr for music (be it 2/3/4/5/6 ch you wont believe the diff.in the sound quality and presence this amp will give you over the amps in your avr.

    I'll give another plug for this. Owned this and a Harman Kardon Signature prior to my EMO. I'd take either of the two old HK amps over my EMO for music. (I'm very temped to pick this up!)

    Edit: HK also very conservatively rates their amps. Don't take the ratings at their face value

    I have some items that have been on and off market a couple times. If the offer is right I might consider selling them in the future.

    This amp is exactly what the seller says it is...a beast and then some. It will wake the dead and have you hearing things you never heard before out of you speakers...(if you have nice speakers) and if you are looking for a great 5 channel amp and are lucky enough to find one of these, you too will be thrilled. Power Galore!! Also (as a new guy here) have to say the seller here is one of the most honest and patient people I have ever talked to. Very knowledgeable and not a pushy person. Great attitude all the way. If you have any questions about the HK ps5800 I think this seller could easily be an authority for the product! Even better than the person at HK I talked with.
