Cer - Hey, I know that amplifier! Did you just pick that up? VERY strong performer.

    350x2@8, 500x2@4...120 amps peak....Hardcore.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Parasound HCA-3500 for everyone else.

Just got it from a local audiophile who has upgraded to Halo JC-1's. Complete with a John Curl recommended upgrade and hand built power cables (this thing is true dual mono, dual AC cords, dual power switches)

Only listened to one song tonight because the roommate is studying/sleeping, but tomorrow it is definitely on!

    Very nice, congrats!

BTW, I've got a nice power cord for that thing, 'course you'll need to get two, but I'll get ya started.

That is a great amplifier. The Halo series is sick.

Even the HCA-1500A is a dual mono design, non-common ground. It is not a dual power supply, but the rails are seperate, you get the picture.

I will advise a underhood check on these amplifiers for you Cer. Drop me an email or call me, (410)961-9729. I know a couple particulars about this line.

Audiogon has a CTC BBQ for $1995, it's the hot-rodded version of the HCA-3500 that became the JC-1. There's a HCA-3500 at my dealer that I'm drooling for! I only have the puny HCA-1500A.

    doro,
Mine is puny compared to your setup because I'm only running it in stereo not bridged. A bridged HCA-1500A won't work with my 4 ohm Maggies
