Just got my CSI A6
Hello Polkies,
I had been asking about upgrading to the A6 from the A4 for awhile now. I was able to score a new one off ebay with free shipping for $275. It got here today and I ran the calibration at lunch.
My first impressions holy cow is that a big difference in sound. If the A9's are that big of a difference from the A7's I may need to start thing of upgrading the fronts.
The A6 is enormous its about a third the size of the A7's..I'll try to post pics later of the two centers side by side.
Vocals are definitely cleaner and easier to understand. The A6 has a much, much, much wider sound stage over the A4 now after getting the A6 I realize that my A4 did not blend well. The A6 and the A7's sound like one uniformed presence almost like their all occupying the same speaker cabinet. Midrange is present front and center, lol cant say the same for the A4.
This may sound weird but my sub seems to blend much better with the new A6, its hard to put into words but I feel like I have a system and not different isolated speakers now. The A4 always seemed very localized.
Music is where this thing really makes a monstrous difference. It sounds so much better. I'll try to fill in the details on that later with a proper review. Heck this thing isnt even broke in yet.

Congrats on the upgrade. While I do not own an A4, I plan on purchasing the A6 as a center speaker within the next month.

I recently have upgraded to the A7's from RT600i's. I have had the A6 for about two years. While listening to my previous system the centers always seemed so much more brighter and noticeable. The 600i's blended well, but, I could tell, not really in the same league as the a6. I added the a7's and I was amazed by how different the whole system sounds. With the addition of the a6 and the HSU sub I can really tell the differnce in different sound codec's and how some sound tracks are really not as good as others. I like you am thouroughly impressed with the A7 + A6 combo.Sharp LC-80uq17u

Thanks Geoff, Next purchase is the RTI A1's to replace my monitor 30's as front heights. Then a Amp and possible VR3 mods to the front 3. I would get the amp now but I have to be patience some of my audio money got redirected into remodeling a addition I built years ago and refinishing our balcony decks in redwood.Living Room
