I currently have a quad of =C= 6L6GC that sound fantastic, just not with my horns. Sounded great with my previous Klipsch Fortes, KRK KROKs, even sounded decent with Carver ALIIIs. I'm looking to trade for a quad of SED =C= EL34, or something else with sweet mids and limited top end.

What do you have?

What don't you like about the 6L6GC's? I run both SED =C= EL34's and I have (3) quads of the 6L6GC's and to me they are the sweeter, ballsier and have better midrange presence than the EL34. Of course, different gear, different driver tubes and speakers.

I have a quad of SED =C= EL34's but I'm not giving them up, especially since all SED tubes took a big jump in price.

EL34s sound softer to me on the top end than the 6L6GC, but you are right, they are great tubes.

Did you ever get a Quad of SED =C= EL34's? I have decided to part with one of my matched Quads since I no longer have an EL34 amp.
