TSI100/200i question
do these speakers come with a wall mount bracket already affixed to the back, or is it something that is done aftermarket by the consumer?

TSI100 do (metal keyhole brackets), but TSI200 don't.

as I read your answer...the 100's come with the keyhole brackets pre-installed
the 200 come with them, but I have to install them myself...

No that's not right. The 100s have them pre-installed. The 200s, due to their size, do NOT come with anything other than themselves, if you want to wall mount them you need to buy the hardware and do it your self.
Hope that helps.

thank you for the clarification, is this hardware that is purchased from Polk, or can you recommend a source for cheap (but sturdy) brackets so I can simply hang them on a wall...Main L/R= RT800I

Isn't the TSI 200 a little large to just rely on a single screw in the wall to hold it up? I sure would not mount it like that. If these TSI's are going to be used for surrounds, then why not use TSI 100's all around the room and use the built in key slot? They're smaller and you'll still get plenty of sound and it'll put less strain on your receiver. TSI 100's for surround duty is more logical to me.

maybe I should do that. I was thinking of using the 200's as my surrounds BACK speakers, and the 100's as rear presence speakers (yamaha receiver)
maybe i should forget about the 200's and just get 2 pair of 100's
any thoughts?Main L/R= RT800I

It's pretty much up to you. There are mounts commercially available that can handle the almost 20 lbs of the 200s weight. It's just more of a hassle to drill, find the studs, place them and so on. But it can work and people here have done it.
Here's an old thread with just such mounts (I'm sure they're gone by now):

Amazon: Pinpoint AM-40 B should do the trick.

If you're still interested in mounting the TSi 200's, why not just get 2 little shelves to put on the wall to sit the speakers on? This way it'd at least be more sturdy than just 1 screw. Just get 2 L brackets and a small shelf. Of course, make sure to find a good spot on the wall, too.Current setup: Harman Kardon HKTS 30BQ

That would not be a little shelf. :razz:AVR-Onkyo TX-NR808

Haha, well, you know. At least a wood thick enough, it'd have to have longer in depth than width, they certainly have some weight to them. My brother just got these speakers about a week ago, they're great bookshelf speakers, I'm impressed.
Not sure what type of brackets these are, but if you can find out, here's a suggestion: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?106641-TSi200-vs-TSi400Current setup: Harman Kardon HKTS 30BQ

Weird, that link is to a thread on the Polk forums.
Anyway, here is a picture of what the guy did in the thread, he drilled two holes into the back of the TSi 200:

Well, I found the ones posted in the picture above: http://www.amazon.com/Pinpoint-Universal-Bookshelf-Speaker-Mount/dp/B0016KJ9XW/ref=sr_1_45?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1342554989&sr=1-45&keywords=wall+mount+speakers
They're $30 a piece it seems, but at least you saw that picture, knowing it will hold the speaker securely.

It seems they are $30 a piece, well worth it I'd say, especially considering they support up to 20lbs. Here's more info on their site if you're interested: http://www.pinpointmounts.com/am10.htmlCurrent setup: Harman Kardon HKTS 30BQ

actually, it looks like it's 30 for 2 mounts (1 pair)
the online polk PDF of the manual doesnt list what the weight of the 200's are

I'd assume it would be listed in the product description if it came in a pair. Order 2, then send one back if they send 2 pairs, or order one and find out.
Also, I just weighed one of the speakers, reading at about 16.4lbs.Current setup: Harman Kardon HKTS 30BQ

Sounds about right. Polk page says 17 lbs. I think I mentioned that in another post above?
