Hey, i had these old speakers i just found hooked up and the amp kept shutting down, so i find out its one that has a problem, I bridge the AMC on one and man this thing opened up.. But something is wrong with the other one????

what would cause it to shut the integra down and AMC, at low volume???? heres some inside pics

    It sounds like the problem is impedence related. That is why the amps are going into protect mode.

    Check the DC resistance of the working woofer and compare it to the broken one. Maybe there is a short across part of the coil.

    Just a suggestion.

    Faster...

    Seems like a very simple circuit. Sit down, draw it out, and be sure to get the same values for the electronics. Should be a piece of cake to build another one. If at all possible get the EXACT same brand and model components. The manufacturer had reasons to use those components. If you're lucky you can prolly still use the PCB rather than a Ratshack board.

    Its not both speakers, Just one and yes the amp go's right into protect, after i just start to move the dial, its gone into it.. what is this??

    It seems to be a short circuit. Unfortunately it is probably a melted voice coil. Get a multi-meter and start checking the resistance of the coils (disconnect each of them from the crossover first). That seems most likely to me. The amps are seeing almost no resistance, that is why they shut down, to protect themselves. The only other reason would be a short somewhere on the crossover network board but this is less likely.
