B&K Reference 50 - Price: $300 shipped
This made in the US preamp was a powerhouse in it's day. It retailed for $3000 and features a excellent analog section, THX Ultra 2 certification, and a computer programmable remote (B&K badged URC MX-700). Sadly it does not have HDMI, and I have since moved on to a Marantz AV7005. For anyone who wants a excellent sounding preamp who doesn't need HDMI, here you go.
Condition:
I am the original owner of this and it is in good condition but not without blemish. The face plate has a light scuff just below the headphone jack, and the top has some light scratches. In addition, the remote has a small **** in it that does not effect functionality. See pictures at Flickr for details.
Terms:
Accepting Paypal Gift, Paypal, or USPS money order. Will be shipped using the original box & packaging material. Includes: remote, remote software, usb -> serial remote cable, manual, Vibrapods, and Volex 17604 power cable. I have additional feedback on Audiogon. For sale in the US only.

That's tempting. I am currently using a Sunfire Theater Grand Pre/Pro in my one system - would this be an upgrade over that, do you know?

Should be. No direct experience but specs wise it is an improvement. Do have experience with Sunfire and B&K amps and preferred the B&K.
