Panasonic PT-AE1000 1080p Projector and extra bulb

Ran this projector for about 2 years and got a deal on my new Sony that I couldn't pass up. If I didn't get the deal, I would not be selling this. Great projector, bang for the buck. I did buy a new bulb and put it in thinking it needed it thanks to the internal timer but the new bulb does not look any brighter. Still have the old bulb with it so if the current one dies, you have a back up to use till you order one and get it in. I'm sure the old one will last you plenty long though. Manual and remote along with it but I bought it used so I don't have the box. Any questions, let me know via email Toxis2k@gmail.com.     I'm going to to guess that is a spam post. 3 posts made and recently joined. Also saying you have tried emailing me but my email is clearly listed in the first post, it says shipping and PayPal is included (main form of payment), you say you've stated issues you've encountered but have not in this thread and your English sounds like a Nigerian fishing scam. So yes, shipping us included, I take PayPal, and every concern has been covered. If this is real, get me some references on your end and we can move forward with a sale. eBay account is best...

    Yeah...I'm shocked it's still around. I'd be all over it if I had the money. It's an older projector but the thing is built like a tank AND comes with an extra battery. Anybody who wants to have a great and REAL HT experience (sorry....a 46" does not cut it....) and is on a budget......jump on this projector and don't look back!! It's not too finicky with placement either as it has a good throw range AND has lens shift!!

    I may be interested but would need to do some research/reading. How does this thing compare to newer models like the Epson 8350, or others in the less than $1500 price point?

    I would say its very comparable but the black levels are a lot better. When I've seen a 8350 in person, even on a Firehawk screen in pitch black, the black levels didnt impress me like I hoped. The 8700 was amazingly better. I would put this Panny between the 8350 and the 8700. Even though it retailed $3k when new, it is more of a $2k projector in today's market.

    To answer the bulb question I keep getting...

    The "backup" bulb is the original so I hear from the previous owner. The bulb in it now is aftermarket. I bought it because I thought I needed one thanks to the warning light. Put the new one in and it's no brighter. So I left it and the original is a backup for when this bulb dies and you need to order a new one. As for current hours, I honestly don't know. I got a deal on my current projector and was so pumped to get it on the ceiling, I forgot to look. If its mandatory, I could fire it up and throw it on the wall to check but haven't yet.

    Also, I now have 3 people asking questions (one being a low baller). Sorry but I will not go cheaper than 800 and if the two pass on it, then I'll go Craigslist. Open for a couple more days. Needed to get a bill paid off but that day ended today. So now I have another month. I'd like to go back to 900 but it's already on the table... Oh well, I'll get it in CL tomorrow night.
