Hey guys, I just saw these listed on c/l for $300.I have no idea what they are worth and is reported to have some scratches and some grill fraying .More inportantly no i/c cable. Is that a deal breaker right there or as the poster says he never used it anyway.I know around they get alot of attention around here but being not an owner of anything Polk I have nothing to compare them to.

That's a bit high. 200 would be more like it. Maybe even less depending on how beat up they are.
The fact that they're missing the cable is not a deal-breaker because you can get another one... but you have to use the cable to get the SDA effect. That guy was missing out big time and didn't even know it.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Those are early SDA's with the dimensional tweeters. It's hard to tell from the photo but very early SDA's had a funky type of connector on the SDA cables that can't be found anymore so you'd have to re-rig the SDA output.
At $300, he's asking too much. Newer, non-dimensional tweeter SDA's are better IMO. Pass unless you can get them for around $200-225. Even then they are SDA's, but later generations are much better and more refined, IMO.
