    Thanks for the photos, but I'm going to pass on these. I was not aware that Polk didn't go to real wood veneer on these until the RTi series or the Rte export version. I'm going to hold out until I find a pair in wood.

    Up to you. However, I've owned both the rt55's and the RT55i's and had them side-by-side. The finish looks exactly the same to my eyes. Others may chime in here with their opinions.

    The 55's arrived safe and sound. Took me awhile to get them hooked up because I had to pop the top off the pio SX 1080, purchased in 1981, to do a little cleaning but now have everything setup in the garage. And boy do they sound and look fantastic. The wife even mentioned they might be too nice for garage duty but this is what I bought them for. Plan to keep everything bagged when not in use.

    For those who have not listened to the 55's all I can say is they are a fantastic sounding speaker and the garage will be rocking for a long time. We'll worth their asking price.

    Thanks again for allowing me to bring the 1080 back to life.

    Sorry..RT2000p's are not for sale....too big and heavy, and they are in the garage.

    How about a pair of the RT55's?...just add a sub and you have the same thing....and you can lift them!! :-)

    I already have a pair, that I use for playing music in my Garage. I have a friend that wants another set of the RT2000's.......I'm not ready to give mine up too.
