SVS Co-Founder Starts New Subwoofer Company

Has anyone else seen this? I saw it on another forum. Tom Vodhanel the "V" from SVS, has started up a new subwoofer company (I guess he left SVS a few years ago). Power Sound Audio went live last week. So far they have three sub offerings, all with 15" drivers. A single driver sealed, single driver ported, and a dual driver ported monster, which has to be huge. They aren't the prettiest subs to look at but I would imagine Tom knows what he's doing in he price/performance department. I'm interested to see what the reviews will be like.

That's awesome. Prices are outstanding for those offerings. I would love to demo that dual 15" model.

Looks like an oversized Polk power port, like the bottom half of a 2000p or 3000p. Boomy sounding I'm thinking with that design.

Some of the older SVS's had the same design and I wouldn't call them boomy at all.

SVS subs were not boomy, but definitely lacked a bit of tone - atleast the earlier designs... IMO of course

You could be right, I just draw my conclusions from the close resemblance to Polks power ported speakers like the 1000p/2000p/ which I hated personally. That design made it all the way to the SRT's which still did not play sharp structured low bass. Personal preferences and all that I guess, carry on....

Note that the SVS and this new companys design is very different than Polks

Polks had the plate firing with a port... and in the case of the SRT is was a bandpass...

The ones mentioned from SVS and the like the woofer is down firing to a plate...

I don't see any resemblance at all.
