The new one. They don't call it the ES3- just I Sonic.

The product page is pretty scarce, what are the improvements over the ES2?

I'm not familiar with the ES2 since it is not even available now and I've never seen one. I think the new one is dumbed down to save cost. No HD radio, no Sirius radio. I can still use my Sirius with it- but wirelessly.

    Congratulations Pat.

I use a Squeezebox Touch sitting on top of an ES2 connected through the auxiliary inputs on back. Sits up there great because the Squeezebox has a rubberized base on it. Gives me accees to thousands of uncompressed audio tracks from a computer, as well as internet radio and sounds great. Volume and controls are available for the Squeezebox through its own remote. Beats using an iPod or listening to local radio.

For the latest version, Polk improved the digital amp and signal processing, so it should sound even better than the last version. They did remove the RCA aux inputs, but replaced those with a 3.5mm stereo headphone input instead.

Maybe Polk's next idea could be to combine something like a Squeezebox into the I-Sonic!

I don't see any mention of AirPlay, so I assume that's not a feature? Bummer, that's the one feature I was really hoping for.
