I can't find a analog SPL meter. The RadioShacks in my area only carry the digital SPL meter and it's $89.99 canadian.

I am in the same situation. I have asked at three different RS's and they all said that they dont make them anymore. One guy told me because "everyone wants the digital, right?" I guess we're just gonna have to pony up the 100 bucks.

Oh well. $100 is quite a bit but what are you gonna do? Just buy the damn thing.

I got my analog meter last spring, around March I think. Maybe it's discontinued?

Glemay/Gatemplin - I will check the local RS's tomorrow, and buy an analog if you are interested. Just let me know, I will pick it up for you.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks for the offer Dorokusai but I am trying to buy one used from a guy who works with my Dad, and even if he doesn't sell it to me he will probably let me borrow it. Again, thanks for the offer and it would be good to know if they are still available.

Bought mine a few months ago. Ratshack was running a special on them. $25. I've got a college buddy working at one and he didn't even give me the old fraternity brother discount.

I get the RS Digital SPL meters for $47.24, with my handy dandy discount, if anyone is interested. I don't know wether that is cheap or not, just FYI for you Polkies.

Wallstreet - I remember seeing that ad, that was a great deal.

Got mine three wks ago for $40 + tax. The manager of RS indicated that they won't carry the analog SPL meter any longer, once the current supply runs out.

I bought the digital one from RS about a year ago for $50. My local stores didn't carry the analog or digital; I had to get it from the online store. I just took a look online and I don't even see the analog one anymore, but if you are interested here is a link for the digital one that I got…
