hello all..i picked up a turntable yesterday for 5.00 in mint condition except the cord is frayed alittle....its a Curtis Mathes HP430 with cover....thought i could use cover if it wasnt worth repairing and 5.00 was a bargain..got it home and it powers up nicely..turns perfect..clean as new..cord has dry cracks so a easy fix i believe..has anyone had any exprience with this brand? any help would be thankful.........

Looks decent! It looks like it may be a Panasonic/Technics rebrand. Direct drive, standard cartridge shell, most likely a solid player from the late '70s early '80s. I would bet it was from the top of a rack of gear at one time, when all brands went to mass produced stackable systems. CM made some of the better TVs here in the US, but when that market switched from TV/appliance stores to Walmart/big box outlets, they lost market share to cheaper imports.
