Need the ability to take notes while I am driving and since my phone does not have that capability and its not terribly safe to try and writes notes with a pen while driving I thought one of the old micro-cassette recorders might work for me. Been calling my wife at work all the time with thoughts/ideas and what-not that i come up with while driving and its driving her "crazy" I just can't remember stuff anymore, my diabetes is seeing to that :frown:
thanks!
thanks!

Have you checked to see if your phone has a recording app? Most androids have one.
I did picked up a digital recorder at Walmart for $30 works great.. and no tapes to deal with.
(I don't have a smart phone ).. just a thought. -
The better ones have done away with the mini cassette and are just plain digital storage nowadays. not sure if the digital ones have as much capacity as a cassette would tho. I still use my ancient Olympus from time to time, a good choice if you decide to go the tape route.

My wife had a smart pen she used to take notes in school. She used it to record her lectures while taking notes and you could download the sound files and edit them which was pretty cool. A little pricey but it had some neat aspects to it.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

Two choices for phone right now, the chocolate and the Accolade, neither have the record option as far as i know. Might look into that smart pen..depending upon price and might check out the thrifts for the cassette option..Computer room Hegeman 1 SpeakersM&K VX-80 subKenwood DP-7010Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Rega DACPrimaLuna Prologue Four AmpAric Audio Tube PreampGarage Jennings Research SquareCustom tube preampCrown XLS-1000Denon DCD-1500II Modded MSB Link DAC

Some of the cheapest MP3 players that exist have a digital record function. You can buy a 4 gig player for less than 25 on sale. Will do pretty much what you want and is an easy transfer to a laptop. Why bother with an old micro-cassette recorder?
