My wife, whom I love very much and has (surprisingly) been cautiously supportive of my audio hobby, has never showed any appreciation to the speakers/sound/music etc. She just goes along because it makes me happy.

I'll say something like "doesn't that sound amazing?" which is usually followed up with a shrug and nod or a hmm hmm.

However....tonight I was listening to some background music while watching the brewers game and out of nowhere I get a relatively excited "There, that sounds neat...I appreciate that from your speakers."

I started listening and in an outro to a song there were some wind chimes lingering in one of the 15's. They sounded crystal clear and real and separate from the rest of the outro.

I wanted to freaking say...I TOLD YOU SO!!!! But I just sat there and said "Yea that does sound pretty cool"

.........Anyways.......small victories:cheesygrin:

    Very nice!

Yea, I've found that there is no way to "force" the awesomeness of your rig on people. They either get it or they don't, and if they don't get it, they're more likely to start getting it by being left to their own devices as opposed to being "made" to hear something.

    Congrats!

My sweetie picked up on the SDA sound without having to even tell her. When she heard the vintage polks I brought home, she immediately told me to sell the A9's after a small listening session.

Lately I've been teasing her saying, "Oh wouldn't it be a shame if I ever sold those speakers you love so much". To which I'm given a stern glare and told, "Not a chance".

Edit: She will also comment on changes she hears from cable changes. I've taught her well.
