Hello, stupid question but are the sl3000 the same tweeter as rdo 198-1? I ordered tweeters from polk and asked for the rdo 198-1, but they sent me sl3000. Upgrading sda crs+ (pin\blade) to 4.1TL Thanks in advance.

Polk hasn't stocked the SL3000 for many years now. You received the RD0198-1.

OK I'm an idiot, don't know why I was thinking they were sl3000. They are definitely black. Thanks you both for quick reply.

AFAIK, SL2000 are silver dome, not SL3000. SL3000's can come in any color including Gold.
Black dome can be SL2500 or others but not SL2000.

IIRC when I ordered my RD0-198's they were listed as SL3000/RD0-198 on the invoice.

My invoice (Canadian invoice) simply states "Model: RD0198-1, Description: Tweeters" Nothing about SL-3000, the tweeter boxes were labeled "RD0198-1" though.

Just checked my packing slip - the tweeters were listed RD0-198/SL2500 SL3000. Probably cross referenced so buyers would know what they're designed to replace.
