maple platforms and spikes for speakers

I have a pair of totem hawk speakers and I am using their claw ball bearing decoupling system. I have concrete floors with padding and a berber carpet so I place the totem hawks on 2" thick maple platforms. My question, do you think I would benefit from adding brass spikes or something like a maple shade brass heavy feet under the maple platform? The maple platforms just sit directly on the carpet at the moment.

I want to get opinions before I start spending money or doing additional work.

Thanks.

You want spikes that pierce the carpet, not just sit on top of it.

Thanks F1. I have a set of the 1/2" brass spikes from myesound lying around. I was saving them for a DYI bookshelf speaker stand project but I'll try them under my maple platforms instead.
