going price for sda1c Vgood cond

wondering what the price on some sda1c would be around about amount in mint condition. i have chance to buy some and want to see what prices go for. thanx for any help..

400 low to 550 high. To a lot more if the 1Cs have had a thorough upgrade of SL tweeters to RDs, caps, mortite, dynamat, etc.

I saw that ad. The guy wants, what over 900 for "everything"--entire set up (amp, pre-amp and so on). Wasn't sure they were 1Cs.

If they are, they are a sweet spot in the SDA line!

Are you going to bargain for them?

Only your ears will tell you if you like them better. But one thing is for sure, they will hit LOWER than your 2Bs and put out more sound in general (higher SPLs).

hey. sorry i had problems with internet service so i havent been on lately. im not sure what they are. he didnt seem to know. so im going to check them out tomorrow. is there a big difference between them and the 2b's. im taking it as yes they are

i think they are like my sda2's with one more tweeter and 2 more drivers from what he explained to me

There is a difference. Is it HUGE? Maybe not, but you will notice it! Doesn't hurt to take a listen. Try to bargain down the price if you can?

If they are 1Cs they will have two tweeters on top, one under the other and two sets of mid-drivers (just imagine another set of mids above the ones you have in the 2Bs with two tweeters stacked vertically above those four mids and the same passive radiator on the Bottom.

Thanks, I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. Get the bad or better news then. In other words how much longer am I going to be in the DARTH VADER boot and on crutches. I suspect he'll tell me most of my summer is gone! lol

Have fun. I think I'm going to pick up some EPI 120Cs from a guy way down south close to N.H. Hopefully he'll meet me in Portland!

These are 10" two ways with the famous Burhoe inverted tweeter. Already own the 100Vs which I like quite a bit. May pass the 100Vs on if I like their larger siblings better. We'll see!

Bit off topic but I recently got a pair of 100V's and haven't even hooked them up yet.
Since you have them, how do they compare against Polks, especially monitor 5, 7 or CRS+?

In response to the OP. I own the 2A's and had the 1C's and dint' like the 1C's nearly as much as the 2A's. I sold the 1C's. The 1C's seemed to have more presence, but that was about it for me. The over all tonal balance is much better on the 2A's. In disagreement with one above responder; I found the bass to be much deeper and stronger on the 2A's vs the 1C's. Either way good luck and listen for yourself to see what you like. I seem to be in the minority that likes the 2's better.
