Old ITH soundbar good for dialog??

There on sale on the Polk ebay site. for $189. I'm not really into HT, don't care about the music or explosions.
Just want to hear good clean dialog. After dealing with the stock 50" plasma speakers...anything has to be better.
On some of the wife's low buget sci-fi DVD's...even with the volume turned all the way up you can't understand half of what there saying...
I "assume" any front fireing soundbar has to be better. Just wondering if anybody has this older model. If they like it. If they have any problems with it. Just seeing if it's good for what i'm looking for it to do before I order.

I've been looking at either trying one of the polk surround bars or building a small 5.1 setup. I've never been able to get a demo of the surround bars here because they either are just on display, or not setup/properly connected. With saying that, a surround bar is always better then any integrated flat panel speaker setup.

Yeah..I have to agree. This is the older model of the surround bar with "SDA" and it dose have the sub. But after this weekend of trying to listen to dialog on some of the wife's fav, sci -fi stuff...thats it. Can't take it anymore. Even with the volume full on..could not understand half of the dialog. Most of the time i can get by, with more "blockbuster" stuff....at least most of that you can understand.
I just wanted to check, if anybody has this..and they like it, or it's just not so great, before i ordered it. Not that i think anybody elses "soundbar" would be any better, or even close for that matter.
