? on Monitor 5 tweeters

Hi all, new to the forum. I have a pair of Monitor 5's with the Peerless tweeters. One tweeter is dead. There are new made replacements available, or are the original tweeters better. Has anyone heard the replacement from Midwest Speaker Repair? Would a 30 yr old tweeter have a good service life left?
Thanks
Greg
Thanks

Welcome!
From what I read, best bet would be finding another polk peerless but wait for experienced members to chime in.

Welcome to Club Polk!
Look in the Flea Market here. Both F1nut and Geppy have had peerless tweeters up for sale at ridiculously low prices!
I'll see if I can find the links....be back!
Looks like F1nut's might be sold?

But Geppy's are still available:

Do not use the Polk Replacement. They are different sonically and electrically. You would have to modify the crossover to compensate for the differences. And the cabinet would have to be tweaked to fit the new tweeter.
Find a used Peerless for best results. -
Thanks for the help. I bought the pair from Geppy.
