SUB on a stand experiments?

Has anyone tried this before? I have a nice little stand i'd like to throw in the system. I have 2 404's now, front and rear, any suggestions?

Stack 'em with a Y splitter.

Set phase to 0 on both and all other speakers to small. Connect from sub out on the AVR to LFE in on the 404.

Bass should be very strong and coherent this way. Subs in opposite corners can give all kinds of problems with phase and room nulls.
