Had to replace the...crap? that was in place for jumpers on my speakers. Mailman dropped off some DIY goodies today so I figured I would get to work on making some new jumpers. But first, a before shot of what's being replaced:

Ug-lay...

Back when I bought my MIT speaker cables, there was an issue with one of them to which a replacement was sent (Joe @ Equus Audio is awesome to deal with). So I've had a extra cable that I had no use for until now. I have decided to transform the cable into a custom SDA cable. However, that's for another day.

Picked up some Vampire spades and Cardas solder (pepster would be proud). Took about 1 hour to make these from start to finish. Cable is MIT EXP 1.

Everyone starts somewhere. I'm happy with how great this turned out for a small project. I'm happy that I am able to integrate the old cable and use it.

Well how's it sound?... Much better

Why not just go inside the speaker and connect the wires ( hot to hot, neg to neg) together at the terminals? Save yourself the effort of making the jumpers and the potential for dirty contacts. Polk makes it easy, after you remove the glue that is. It's a reversible process and cost nada!
