I was wandering the local mall this weekend, and happened to visit a store that I never thougt to visit before. I expect that places like Spencers and Hot Topic were strictly for teenyboppers that like to waste their daddy's money, but guess what, "They sell Vinyl LP's"! How cool is that! I scored Tool's Undertow, Foo Fighter's Wasting Light, and No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom (on special limited edition orange vinyl) and all at realy great prices. Then I found out that they can order many labels beyond what they cary in the store!

I couldn't pass up the Iron man chest piece 'T' shirt either. Man! I thought that at 43 I'd be beyond this kind of spontaneous mall shopping, but I guess not. Hey! My 8yo daughter thinks I'm cool, so how bad can it be!

I won't lie, I thought this was going to be a thread similar to pfb's skinny jeans shopping experience. Glad I was wrong

We have Spencers but I've never heard of this "Hot Topic" store.

That was the first thing spinning on the TT when we got home. Didn't even read the label indicating that it was 45 rpm! So, the beginning of the first song was a little strange! After changing speeds and cueing the first track again I sat and listened cover to cover. Awesome! I think that this is my favorite Foo Fighter's album yet. I don't own a digital copy, so I couldn't do an analysis of vinyl vs. digital. Considering that this album was recorded with analog gear, I suspect that vinyl will prove to be the best media.

Never heard of "Hot Topics", checked out their web site and .... it actually looks pretty cool.

... doing a "Search" for " Black Sabbath" found that they were having a contest for "Design the Next Black Sabbath" T !

    ...which ended yesterday.

Hot Topics does have, btw, a "Lime Green Petticoat" offering which may interest "some" people. :loneranger:

I did peruse their large selection of flamboyant clothing articles, but skinny jeans do not allow for effective concealment of firearms! I prefer good ole fashioned Wranglers for their deep pockets and loose fit.

I was tempted to ask the cashier if her tongue ring realy made a difference durring fallace, but that would be tough with my wife standing next to me and my daughter clinging to my leg!

I don't go to malls normally, unless it's Sears. I pull up around back and enter/exit through the tools section.

I don't know about your Hot Topic, but the one here has a pretty decent sound system.
All Klipsch kg 1.5's and 2.5's and 2 powered subs (10 or 12"?), all mounted on the ceiling, firing down on the sales floor.
Mackie amp, Adcom speaker selector, Denon 5 disc? CDP.
Its in a mall so I am pretty sure, it is just idling to say the least, but still, I was pretty impressed with it just loafing.

Not the best by any means, but 8 speakers, 2 subs, its not bad.

Every Christmas, all my niece ever wanted was a gift card from Hot Topic!
Being a big Korn fan myself, I have bought a few cd's there myself.
