Saw the doc. last night called"Oil city confidential" about a band i had never heard of, they had some no.1 albums in their home england.
They were more blues rock, but sorta punkish, especially their on stage persona, just before punk hit big.
They imploded around 74 or so for the usual reasons, drugs, booze, and sorta runnin out of songs by their third album.
Viewer warning, there are some pics of girls and such from back in the day some may find offensive, but its so 70s excess, and they were actually a pretty good garage band type group.

I love rock docs. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like Netflix has Oil City on disc: http://movies.netflix.com/WiSearch?v1=Oil%20City%20Confidential&raw_query=oil%20con&raw_query=oil%20con
I streamed a good doc about Django Reinhardt's 100th birthday over the weekend on Netflix. Their streaming library is slowly getting better . -
