SDA SRS | Operating with Uncommon Ground? | Who Rebuilds Crossovers for a Fee?

Hi guys,
What are the effects of running a pair of SDA SRS speakers with an uncommon ground receiver? Will it damage the drivers? How about the crossovers?
I've owned my SDA SRS 1.2s for about 10 years and they just don't seem to sound like they used to, and I want to do something about it.
I realized tonight these speakers should only be used with a common ground amp. I currently have them hooked up to a piece of junk Yamaha HTR-5930, and I'm not sure if it's common or not. I do know that only three out of the eight tweeters are actually producing sound, so I'm planning on upgrading to the RDO 198s in the very near future.
Also, while testing the tweeters, I noticed sound omitted from the second to last tweeter from the floor seemed to be the loudest. Why are there volume differences between each tweeter?
I'm not too knowledgeable on electronics, so is there someone I can send my crossovers to that can upgrade them for me for a reasonable fee?
Thanks for the help!
Brandon

Your Yamaha HTR-5930 is common ground as is every receiver I know of. That said, you'll never get what those speakers are capable of using any receiver/AVR.
The SDA SRS 1.2's would use the RD0194-1 tweeter unless you actually have the 1.2TL's, which would use the RD0198-1.
The volume difference between each tweeter is because it is a progessive point source design. The second from the bottom in the 1.2 or 1.2TL is the "main" tweeter.
I might consider doing them, define reasonable fee.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thanks for the response! Good save on the tweeters, I'll remember that. I figured I need a nice amp, so I'll be shopping around. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions for an amp that's the best match for these speakers?
I'll shoot you a PM about rebuilding the crossovers. Thanks again!

Apparently I can't send a PM with less than 10 posts. Please send an email to brando1985@gmail.com with what you think is a good price. Thanks! -
An adcom 555 amp would be a good start.
Of course a nice cary would be even better if you have the funds.SDA-2BTL with custom IC

Which would be better, the Adcom 555 or a QSC GX5? I could buy a GX5 for the same price as a used 555. I'm trying to stay in the $400 range.

Sunfire- 600x2 would do nicely.

Of the two mentioned, get the Adcom. Pro gear has no business in home audio, period.Political Correctness'.........defined

I second F1's thoughts. Pro gear may look good for the price but you pay in sonic badness.
The Adcom would be a much nicer sounding amp. Like 1000 Times better. -

Got it. Thanks guys, I'll start my search for an Adcom. If anyone has any leads, that'd be even better!
Thanks,

The 555 sometimes comes up for sale here in the FM.
But here is a even better amp at a reasonable price.>> http://app.audiogon.com/listings/adcom-gfa-5800--3

You even have the option to use a better powercord which is always a plus.SDA-2BTL with custom IC
