Sold my subwoofer. Can my RTA12's handle a lot of bass?

I sold my Sonance subwoofer to finance the purchase of another sub. But before buying one, I decided to run the RTA12's as large with all of the low frequencies going to them and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised. While they don't rattle the walls, the bass is surprisingly tight and tuneful, more so than with the Sonance I had. So instead of buying another sub, I may just use that money to replace all of my SL2000's with RD0-194's.

So is it safe to run the RTA12's this way? The system is used mainly for movies. They are being driven with an Adcom GFA-6000 so power isn't an issue.

Thanks in advance!

That's how I run mine, and I've had no issues. However I also use a subwoofer. Running the RTA 12's full range and filling in the bottom with the sub makes it very easy to dial in the sub.

You should be fine but if you are a Reference Level watcher I would use caution
