    That's pretty cool. I have my father's old VOM R-T-R in the basement with a few tapes. Probably needs some work at this point. There have also been a number of R-T-Rs showing up in the local craigslist up here. Evidently we have a tape aficionado somewhere near.

    I remember when I was a kid how cool the big R-T-R was. Everyone wanted one, but they weren't cheap.

    R-T-R decks have made appearances in recent years at various audio shows as well. I am always mesmerized by those spinning reels.
