AQ CV-4 speaker cables....cool

Finally got to some serious listening to my "new" AQ CV-4 cables.
The immeadiate thing I noticed was the bass response seemed improved a lot. I don't if the speaks are actually reaching a little lower or if their getting a better signal, but whatever it is, these 55i's are reaching way down for a "bookshelf" speaker. Another thing I noticed in the mids and highs was in increased fullness. In Train's Drops of Jupiter, the string section sounds so much fuller. No more tinniness or bassiness. Almost as full as on my SDA 1-C's with the **** MC lampcord crap wires. Cymbols are smooth, yet sharp and precise. I know I've used this several times, but the guitars sound a bit more "from the amp". Vocals sounds great. Eddie Vedder sounds the most like himself ever. Still, the main thing is the better bass. Didn't lose any growl, but gained response and details.
If I had my 1C's instead of my 55i's, I'd be having my cake and eating it too!!!:D

What happened to your SDA-1C's?

They're fine, except for the fact that they're at home with nothing to power them. I hate that my M4.0-t blew up again this summer...

Good! I'm glad you didn't ditch them. Sorry to hear about the Carver amp. My Carver preamp farted today (refer to my recent post), so I feel your pain. Ugh.
