Can anyone recommend the "perfect" amp for these. What about a modest tube amp?what would be the first thing I should do as a replacement/upgrade in the future.
After that, the sky is the limit. "I" would start with replacing every capacitor and resistor on the crossover boards.
Some folks upgrade the wiring, the jacks, the inductors, etc. Some folks disable the SDA tweeter. Listen, decide, have fun! -
Where upgrades are concerned, you might check out the new 'repository' - handy.

I bundled 3 90uf for the SDA board which did nothing until I yanked the stock sda port and applied the bare steel wires to some 12 speaker wire and after plenty of juice i did get a little sda effect.Ok don't use them and don't get sonicaps and don't upgrade sda port.
You and your speakers have issues.Political Correctness'.........defined

Ok don't use them and don't get sonicaps and don't upgrade sda port. Cape Cod Massachusetts here kiddos. My neighbors are over 100 feet away and it's 66 cool degrees in the dining room. Cheers!
This confuses and baffles me! Thanks for all the answers and links everyone. They sound great as is but I guess I'll start with taking off the radiators and looking inside. -
OH, and does anyone have any experience driving these with a low watt tube amp?
