Anybody have a need for the metal templates to Larry's rings for the 2B's?

Cleaning out the garage and found them. Can't see why I would ever need them again.

If enough of them can be gathered, maybe we can cobble together a few more sets of rings.

Would these be helpful as templates for drilling holes to put in Hurricane nuts on the 2Bs? If so, I'd be interested in having them.

I've seen some discussion on here about people having problems in this area when trying to install the H-nuts. I've never removed my drivers or PRs, so I don't know.

I would love Two set of Larry rings . . for the 2Bs and the SRS II's . . . But without CNC access (like Larry has), I'd would flub-it. How'd you make yours Mr. MuncyBob ? Do you have a link to any info? TY, sir

These are the template rings that Larry sent me to drill the "new" holes....I didn't make them.

tk, I would think that they would be helpful in drilling a straight hole? I clamped them onto the cabinet and used the bubble level built into my cordless drill to help vertically...seemed to work well. If you want them pm me...then maybe when you are done with them you could forward to anybody else that could use them or perhaps we could follow up on John's idea??

If I knew how much the rings helped and their quality of build I would easily have paid double. Maybe he will make them again when there is enough demand eventually. Someone could start a waiting list thread for a potential encore of Larry's rings.

I've asked and I doubt more will be made. Hence the alternative coupling solutions.

It must be a pain to make, but there was a knucklehead who was impossible to please and I thought that may have been the reason he stopped. The rest of us are more than appreciative. I think drummingman used the hurricane nuts with success. I guess I can be blessed with Larry's rings but one day will have more SDA's so I'll have to resort to another way. DarqueKnight had great links which explained how and why rings work, which might help understand how to do it correctly even without Larry's rings.
I'm on the phone now or I'd find and post his links. When I return from my trip to the Castle in Minneapolis I'll find and post them.

Larry may have more templates though, I sent mine back to him so he could reuse them.

I too would have paid double for what they did for my speakers. Great mod for sure. It may not be worth Larry's time at this point and I totally understand that. I have a brother in law who performs similar mods for another forum and I've seen how much work it can be.

In that case, put me down for a set for the SDA-SRS- 1.2TL's, and an extra 12" set of rings. This way I am covered no matter what SDA I get.

I would take a complete set for SRS 3.1TL's if this ever came to happen.
