Just got a pair of Monitor 7a's off Ebay for $50 (mind you, the shipping is $130! -- they'd better be well packed). They're not in the best cosmetic shape, but supposedly they are working fine, and from the pictures appear to have their original Peerless tweeters. After seeing some of the prices on Ebay, I'm really surprised to get these for under $100.
These will be an upgrade from an old pair of Cerwin-Vega VS120s. I'm so looking forward to running without an EQ versus having to roll off 6db below 100Hz to avoid headaches

Hope you get your money's worth out of em ! I recommend you JB Weld the 6.5" MW drivers in them to keep the magnets where they belong.

Congrats, you should really love the sound of those Monitor 7's. In my opinion they are the best of the original monitor series.

They look nice with the peerless tweeters.
Also, noticed they have fuse in the back that my 7C's don't.
Hopefully they'll arrive safely from Philadelphia. :loneranger:

And what an entry it is. The "classic" Monitor, the one everybody is looking for if they're collecting! You have some very nice sound there!
